greetings everyone!

I usually try to avoid making new threads since most questions have already been answered, but I really need some help with this

My clones were transplanted in soil three days ago and have been doing fine until today.

I noticed on two of my clones that one of the lower, cut fan leaves developed same nasty yellowing and it looks like the leaf is just dying. The rest of the plant seems to be doing fine.

I've only been using pH'd water (pH between 6.0 and 6.5) and giving the plants their needed 18 hours of light. The temperature is about 25 degrees celsius (roughly 75F).

I suspect overwatering but i'm not sure. Could anyone help out plz?

thanks in advance :weed:

It does look little like overwatering...how often do you water? What soil are you using? How about ph of your soil? Did you give them any nutes?

twice so far, which I realize now was too much. it's been 20 hours since I last watered them and the soil is still moist under the surface.

For soil I'm using "Janeco" Light Mix, 12-14-24. It's made in Holland, and is basically a mix of different types of peat and perlite. The pH of the soil has also been in range, and I haven't started any nutes yet. Was planning to do so in the next 3 days, but now i'm not sure.

does this leaf have a chance to recover? or will I eventually have to cut it off?

Thanks for your time and guidance mate.

No the leaf wont recover but the plant can! I would say the soil is too strong. 12-14-24 is too much and every time you water the soil is releasing bunch of nutes...I say definitely NO NUTES and if the prob gets worst flush with ph'd water until clear water comes out the bottom........or just go and get soil that has no chemical nutes in it and transplant again.

Either way its a lot of stress for your girl. So FIRST before doing any of these things, wait and dont water...if it stops and after you water starts again, you will know its the soil.

Thanks for the quick response and great advice mate! I really appreciate it.

I'll just let them be for another 24 hours then see what's what.

+rep for you my man!

Your burning the shit out of them. These plants are literally weeds and dont need much to get them started. You need to get some regular potting soil without additional nutes and DO NOT add ANY nutes to the new soil for a couple weeks until the roots are established. Maybe add a little root stimulator. Keep the soil moist, but not soaked until roots are established, them let them go dry before you water them. Otherwise, you're gonna kill 'em.
