at the risk of digging

i'd like to say not ALL right wing people are absolute idiots

goddamn most are though :/ kinda scary the thought that most are behind overthrowing the government which will soon one day be necessary because corruption is terminal it never will be gone until an overthrow of all government officials happens

and Jesus Christ the extremist of the right wing is gonna fuck it all up -_-

i ponder wither our current corrupt government or really a global economic commercial entity is better or risking an overthrow by bigots fueled by blind hatred both left and right wing extremists have do we want the future generations to be fucked by the closemind pure brainwash bullshit both right/left extremist have

idk how it turned into a conspiracy lol but yeah fox news is funny as shit to watch when they make a ass of themselves
Hey Ty, I know. As a young lad, I was a Republican. I was also heavily involved in politics in one of the most conservative Congressional districts around.

It's funny. Of all those people I have known from the old days of the "Reagan Revolution", about half have stayed true to the cause and about half have found the increasingly extreme and non-secular platform of the Republicans as extreme as I have and have 'defected'. I say that in quotes because we never really defected. Yes, some of our opinions have changed in light of disastrous failures in the past. Trickle Down is a good example. Interesting argument when it was made (with a top marginal tax bracket in the 60% range) but in actual practice is was a total failure. And cutting taxes to increase government revenue when the top bracket is now in the 30% range and Cap Gains are 15%?

Yeah, the whackos were around back then. They made good volunteers to stuff shit in mailboxes and to drive old people to the polls. But we didnt embrace them. There will always be whackos, but the party is pandering to them in unconscionable ways. Offensive, racist ways.

But is isn't just fiscal. The old Repubs had a much bigger house. Back in 1980, there were homos and stoners and (rarest of all today) intellectuals in the Party. We are gone now (speaking as a stoned, gay, egg-head). Probably forever. My metamorphosis was pretty much complete in George The Lesser's first term.

Rich elitist white people are the puppet masters behind all the news, government, and world domination.

60 Minutes did a piece on rare earth metals this weekend. They visited an American mine that produces them. When summing up Leslie Stahl pointed out that the whole mine can only produce a fraction of the world's supply.

A fraction, huh? This is an utterly meaningless phrase. 99.999% is a fraction. So is 100% if we want to get technical. This is the sort of laziness that never would have been tolerated. Get a damn intern to get actual numbers and give us some idea of actual scale.

This and your Rush History and and and....... I can see how my parent's were happy to cede the future to the younger generation. Can you imagine the dysphoria immortality would cause. Who could afford their analyst bills?

I almost hate to bump this on account of this post not strictly fitting into he title. So tonight I had the news on with no volume but there was a picture of a law being signed somewhere and the guy signing it is surrounded by beaming religious fundamentalists... I'm talking nuns, monks in sackcloth with tonsors, orthodox rabbis, people in Islamic garb, tubans, etc.. The caption said "Religious Freedom Restoration Act signed". I thought, "Oh-oh".

So i turned on the volume. Yes, the governor of Indiana has signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law. What is it? Weeeell, if you are gay in Indiana, you can now be denied service in Indiana. Fuckwads.

I've been slacking on these lately. Too busy with the kid to consume multiple news's.

But yesterday was a good one - and a perfect example of good video driving the news lineup.

A couple of kids busted into a home in NJ I think. They ran around like crazy for a while a family hid in a bedroom. Yeah, menacing stuff. But my point is that they "teased" the story three times before finally showing it at the very end. But the "story" had no new information of any meaningful type. I think the only thing that they said that they hadn't in the teasers is that it happened in NJ. In fact, the teasers were the story. No new info, no new footage. If the story is totally encompassed in the teaser, then the teaser is the story. But nooooo, they wanted to report the story three or four times.

So today, they had a bit more footage and an actual interview with the family. They were scared. That was all they pretty much said. But the footage was better so it got bumped up in the lineup to half way through the news rather than the very end. I think they SH owed the same footage three more times while the parents were interviewed.

Fucking newsertainment

after the election in the uk we had a media blackout on the riots in the street where the prime minister resides. shit not being reported like that is fucked up. we've had some good ones this side of the pond recently. the reporter who picked up a reem of copier paper and pretended it was an ipad for about 3 minutes was pretty funny.

((I think this is the first thread I've ever re-railed )
