throw in many work and death camps, along with mass murder in the woods..... yeah I can see that number........seeing that many of my family were murdered there........

The number of people killed at these death camps which were only a few of the camps used has been estimated as follows:
  • Auschwitz II: about 1,100,000
  • Belzec: at least 436,000
  • Chelmno:at least 152,000
  • Majdanek: 78,000 - 235,000
  • Sobibór: at least 170,000
  • Treblinka: at least 800,000
  • Jasenovac: 500,000-840,000
  • Maly Trostenets: at least 60,000
This gives a total of at least 3,600,000, and possibly 4,600,000. Of these, over 80% were Jews.

These camps accounted for about half the total number of Jews killed in the entire Nazi Holocaust, including almost the whole Jewish population of Poland

You know this isn't the first time we have fought a war in the manner we are now, as the president says, "As the Iraqi troops stand up, we will stand down."
We did it with Vietnam with the ARVN troops, and that didn't work out very well either.
Soon there will be jokes about buying Iraqi guns, "never been used and only dropped once."

Ramadan this year was the Iraqi equivilant of the Tet offencive.

The only differance between Iraq and Vietnam is that instead of fighting in jungles, we are fighting in sand.

History Repetes it's self again.
If we do not pay attention to history, we are doomed to repete it.

History, I guess that's one subject G.W forgot to read in school, in fact I'll bet he didn't read much but had the smart kids on his payroll even then. The spoiled son of a Billionaire, I doubt if he had much trouble getting other people to do his homework, and that has carried over into his adult life. I doubt we have ever had a more Ignorant president. A perfect front man for those evil assholes that really run the country Ashcroft, cheney, Rove Etc. The people have been the ones taking the "fuckin", while the rich assholes, Haliburton, and the myriad of govt. contractors and Corporations have gotten richer off the backs of 100,000+ Iraqis And 3,000+ american dead. I don't quite know how this ties into Hitler as I think his purpose was more Racialy motivated, but the results are the same. Innocent people dead in the name of greed and power!

Hitler is often misinterpreted as being a racist. He couldn't have been a racist because the word as we know it today didn't exist then. He was a purist.

Racism is a disgusting word and should be stricken from the dictionaries. It's a bullshit word that only achieves further segregation. I believe in living in peace with all that want to live in peace with me, no matter what your colour. Colour is a point of fact and is soon forgotten after 30 seconds of conversation.

Are not the jews considered a race apart from the purity of arian bloodlines! I'm sure that is what hitler told his people for an excuse to steal all their wealth, Could not that be considered racist. I'll bet if you ask a jew who was involved they would consider it racism. of course I'm not using it in the modern context, but it was a form of racism none the less!

Purists, and racists for that matter are ignorant. They don't realise that race is an illusion. And genetic purity does not exist. We are all "Muts". All the superficial features like skin color or squinty eyes have evolved fairly recently and are the result of people adapting to their different climates.

The word racist, is sometimes improperly used when describing a person who may not like a certain culture. For example, I may not like the middle eastern culture, but have nothing against a person of Arab descent.

The mongrel thing is so very true. People that have blonde hair and blue eyes can still, and most do, have black blood in them. Also people that think they are black, it has been proven that their original ancestors came from somewhere like France.

Sorry for jumping on the racist word, med'. It's just a word that doesn't sit right with me. Hitler is idolised a lot by racists for his hate of the jews. In fact Hitler was a very religous man and he was only doing what he believed was right by the God he believed in. After all, it was the Jews that were responsible for Jesus' death. Hitler wasn't the only one to have anti-semitic views, England and the U.S. didn't like them either.

Towards the end of the war, we had the chance to save thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of Jews. Germany offered an exchange of 100 Jews per Truck that we gave them. We refused.

Winston Churchill (excuse me, Sir.), was also a well known anti-semitist.

"Towards the end of the war, we had the chance to save thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of Jews."

We did the same thing to thousands of Russian expatriots as well, condeming them to starvation in the gulag labor camps in Siberia.

Let's see, if it weren't for the U.S. Supreme Court overturning the illegal ruling of the Florida Supreme Court in thier attempt to steal the election for Gore, we would have Gore as president now. In your estimation Med, and in view of 9-11, how would things be different today in relation to the War on Terror?"

Where is the war on terror being fought exactly?

The first attack took place by al queda in 1993 at the world trade center

Cinton let us down then

bush let us down on 9-11

maybe it would not have happened 9-11 with gore

very hypothetical

bush operates on emotion

thats the only thing i do not appreciate from him,,,a man with no plan,,,just emotion

I think Sadam used to give familys of Palestinian suicide bombers money after thier departure, other than that, not much. Not enough to unleash the terror we have unleashed on Iraq. The 3000+ American Deaths, The 100,000+ Iraqi deaths, 20,00+ American wounded, Unknown Iraqi wounded, total destruction of half the country, unbearable living conditions for most Iraqis, (estimates have more than a million having left for foriegn lands) and the largest hole in the American debt ever thought about in anyones worst nightmare. Hooray for Bush, He's keeping us safe>Crapola!

No, that is a lie. Saddam hates terrorists, and he's a fake muslim. He only (famously) turned muslim during the first gulf war in an effort to gain support from other Arab nations. Which is also the reason he fired scud missiles into Israel and we had to blow them up before they hit the ground. If too many of those scuds hit, Israel would have retaliated. Which in turn would have caused other Arab nations to be obligated to join Saddam's fight. Saddam is a man with no religion, he just does what he's gotta do.

Iraq doesn't have the society we have, it needs to be controlled in a different way. Saddam had found the way, and had built up his respect after years of necessary atrocity. All prosperous societys are built this way, none more so than our own.

No, that is a lie. what is the lie. I'm pretty sure Sadam did give 15-25 grand to the familys of suicide bombers from Palestine after they blew themselves up. It's a known fact that he hated Jews., who did he send the scuds to in gulf 1. As far as him hating terrorists in his country, I think the mass graves proves that point!

How are you sure he gave money to families of Palestinian suicide bombers? Were you there? I wondered where your Government got it's info' from. I already explained why he was firing scuds into Israel.
