I'm calling BULLSHIT on this . . . The use of IR to locate grows was found to be a search and therefore unconstitutional without a warrant PRIOR to the flyover! It is a violation of the 4th Amendment to randomly flyover house with IR looking for illegal activity.
I agree. Also there is a video on youtube that shows police using it in the UK. What they are looking for is the exhaust port from your lights to the outside of the building...

An example: Its 80 degrees in the summer, you have 150 degree air coming out of one vent on the side of the building. They check it over the next couple weeks to see if it stays consisitant.

In doing so they DO need a warrent, so no worries, Just make it look like a drier vent to the outside and "Do a lot of laundry"

I TOTALLY agree with you, however EVERY citizen of the USA must research whats going on ALL around you right now. The "Constitution" is doomed as far the government is concerned, there are PLENTY of people being arrested every single for things that are within the "Constitution" and the "Second Amendment", but law enforcement dont give a rats.

This is clearly a case of your rights over "probable cause", but you only have to look through video on YouTube or Alex Jones to see the rights of US citizens are being stripped. You are plain stupid if you think the cops wont search your house if they see a heat signature, and they DON'T need a warrant.

I feel for you guys in the US with what I have learnt the last few months, your country is fucked, and it pisses me off such a place with rich heritage is doomed.
Any search done without a warrant would not be admissible evidence in court and would have to be thrown out. Heat signature is not enough to get a warrant, but it is enough to start an investigation. Plenty of people grow other plants in the house using grow equipment. It's not a sure sign of a marijuana grow. And as far a Alex Jones is concerned, let's just say he is a bit of an alarmist. We still have the Constitution to protect us, and every American should know it.
In a lot of cases, cops count on people to be ignorant of the law. It makes their jobs easier. In this country, law enforcement does not get the final say, the courts do. And thankfully we still have judges that believe in the constitution. Not all, but most in the lower courts.
And we are not fucked yet, but people need to get off their asses and vote the assholes out, or we will be.

Carbon filter plus inline fan attached to dryer vent solves all worries...pigs think you're doing laundry.

The only 4 times an officer is legally allowed to be able to come in your house or search your property.
1)Invite
2)warrant
3)probable cause (something in plain view of officers as they look at your property, plants in plain view.
4)exigent circumstances. an emergency, fire, someone screaming, someone in danger.

In the U.S. they need a warrant for infrared. But that isn't to say they use it first ILLEGALLY, see something, then tell a judge a patrol car smelt it while driving by or something but in a medically legal state you need to go to the judge with alot more proof than smell or "hunch" to get a warrant. So basically the infrared is the last thing i'm worried about. I would worry more about jackers than cops. Smell, foot traffic, & noise are the big 3 in my opinion.

The cops are just as bad as the rippers. I had two cops come into my apt last year. They assaulted me in the apt, done a search and told me I was under arrest for , causing a disturbance, resisting arrest and assaulting police. Luckily for me I had my cell open to 911 during the entire event. The same two cops had already had my girlfriend in jail for the same BS. When I got done proving what these cops had done the courts released my girlfriend. Don't expect police to act any different than the rippers that will invade your home. They are actually worse. My girlfriend would still be in jail if I wasn't so dam cagey.

This guy is completely right. States are allocated budgets and before they use heat signatures infrared or helicopters which are both expensive to operate they must have already obtained a search warrant or other related documents that justify the search. In addition to obtain this warrant, a thorough investigation must have been conducted so when the affidavit is presented to the judge, there's proof from the investigation that gives him/her substantial enough evidence to sign the warrant.

in uk, the thermal imaging on helis is garbage, if a man walks under a tree it loses his sig and thats at body temp, if your op is at right temps (83) no way could it pick it up, especially in a sealed enviroment (tent)
but occasionally the police use the electricity boards heli which can penetrate ground (looks for heat sigs underground from broken cables) but if they go to this extreme theyve already got you.
dont smell,
dont tell,
dont sell,
these rules are golden.
another huge no no, is no large deposits into your bank.
