Pan Am Flight 103 Terrorist Suspect in Custody for 1988 Bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland
Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud Kheir Al-Marimi (Mas’ud), 71, of Tunisia and Libya, made his initial appearance in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on federal charges, unsealed today, stemming from the Dec. 21, 1988 civilian aircraft bombing that killed 270 people.

I worked that night at The Hartford Courant . Simply put , I was the guy who said "stop the presses" . I had worked through many disasters and historical events by then , 9/11 , all the various wars , etc...
That was the only time I had to leave my desk and go into the men's room to cry over 36 years .
