Political Satire

I've resorted to kindness and silence as it takes the wind right out of the sail. Not everything requires my energy.

My brother's is a gaslighting keyboard warrior and when I didn't quench his thirst for liberal tears, he had an angergasm. Big burly man with weak skills to metabolize emotions. So I sent him this - hasn't spoken to me in 15 months. I still wished him happy birthday with no rebuttal. C'est la vie.

I have a brother-in-law and sister who think Danielle Smith is doing a good job, to this day. On one occasion, politics came up, and I voiced my displeasure with her government, and received stern opposition to my viewpoint. The tension was immediate. I backed off and changed the subject, and no longer bring up politics in their presence. If they bring up anything political, I just listen, and then just change the subject. I don't want to lose these relationships, but I do realize I have to seemingly ignore facts as they do, just to get along. I do hope it becomes apparent to them the shortcomings of the Danielle Smith UCP policies, but I'm not holding my breath, and as they say, you can't change other people, and I'm not going to try.
