Pollen from 'stressed' males

november 1st rolled around and the plants were changed to 12/12.. after 5 days, all plants had showed sex so the males were separated (just threw in a closet out of sight) to be composted when i had more time... a week later i still hadnt composted the males, but they hadnt been fed/watered nor had they received any light during that time and were still alive... now its been 2+ weeks after separation and this weekend the males just started to wither but look all-round healthy.. still!!!
i wanted seeds from these 2 strains later down the road.. prolly outdoors next fall (WW and chimera's C-Plus). I took clones from the best females/males BUT just yesterday i checked the pollen sacs on the males that have been in the closet for 2+ weeks and some are starting to open, covering my fingers in pollen...

so here are the questions..
1) i've never kept males around to see how long it takes for them to begin dropping pollen (after 12/12 indoors or start of outdoor flowering), how long does that usually take, is 2-3 weeks normal? or did 300+ hours of straight darkness cause them to mature early??
2) would it be a good idea to use the pollen from the males that have been in the closet for 2+ weeks and pollinate a few branches of the currently flowering fems? (giving me all the seeds i need and not worry about growing male clones just to produce seeds someday) or would i just be opening a can of worms with the possibilty of these stressed plants producing hermie offspring?
