pollen sacks poised to ruin my sensimillia

hey i noticed a few days ago than there is a pollen sac or two on about 1/3 of the larger buds on my plant. I clipped one and a small cloud of pollen fell to a leaf below. up to now it has shown nothing but female flowers. Am i close enough to harvest to not worry about this pollen? should i harvest a little early? most of these sacs are barely developed yet and have at least a few more days before opening.

if you look at my pictures those are from about a week ago. at that point there were no pollen sacs at all.

Rig a tube or plastic hose (like nute pump hose) up to a vac cleaner hose with duct tape.
Then try to use the hose to suck them from the plant.
may work iduno

how close are you to harvest? if its like a week or so left then you can just put a plastic bag around it, and hold it closed with one hand, and snip the branch with the other hand, pollin will fall, but the bag will catch it

probably only a week or two away from harvest. these only started appearing about 5 days ago, and none af them seem to be mature yet. at the moment there are 15-20 on the plant. they seem to only appear on the top buds of the secondary branches.

the first time after i clipped one and pollen fell out i immediately sprayed the entire plant with water. hopefully this washed much of it away. maybe if i spray it before clipping them it will keep the pollen from getting airborne

i would spray em down not so close to harvest tho.

maybe get bowls of water and rinse the bud sites.

thats what i would most likely do

sounds like you got urself a hermi (hermaphrodite)
thats what i thought when i first saw them, but i didnt know hermies appear this late into flowering. if more of these appear should i harvest early, before seeds form?

i had a friend come over and take some pics yesterday, i will post them up later tonight

I've read that seeds from hemis always 100% of the time produce female plants, so let a few buds get fertilized. It has probably already happened.

i would not follow Roseman's advice because in order to get around 90% females, you need to clone the hermaphrodite plant and have it mate with the hermi clone... moreover, the seeds obtained from this hermi on hermi action will produce difficult to grow seeds that are inclined to revert to hermaphrodism as well... personally i would not risk it,, harvest before seeds my man

ok. about how long after these form does it take for them to spread pollen, and how long after that for seeds to form?

sorry to be annoying but its driving me nuts because up till now its been nothing but female flowers. there is probably at least an oz. of female bud on the plant now. thats why these pollen sacks stood out to me (everything else is covered in trichomes!)

it takes quite some time for seeds to fully develop and mature. if you only have a couple weeks left you may end up with some under developed seeds in your bud. you can use tweezers to remove the pollen sacs. careful spraying water on buds. it could cause rot.

I was quoting from GROWFAQ man, but maybe that stranger knows better than me and the threads here.

hey thanks the tweezers worked great. i was able to remove all of the visible sacks without spilling any pollen (that i could see). i counted, there were 15 of them in all, mostly on the same 4 or 5 buds
