one option is ditch the dirt and grow hydro.
but really the plant is overwatered you need to let the soil dry up to the point that if you put your finger in the dirt until you reach your first knuckle you feel no moisture then it is ready for more water

I always wait till my soil is dry to water it, one way to look at it is when your growing hydro your plants are watered a certain amount of times...therefore your plant only needs water a few times a day, no need to keep it moist 24/7.

it's not 100% accurate but it works well. Best of all you will never overwater your plants again.

MJ doesn't like too much water. Once the soil has gone bone dry then you water them.
