Poor man's cloning in a water bottle......questions?

I have had these nodes in a bottle now for a week and wondering if these are roots starting??? I see stuff at the bottom and one node has a white thing coming out the side ...thanks

No roots. try changing the water. use warm NOT HOT, warm tap water. and leave it in a window sill. Good luck
