Possible CC Theft by Dr. Chronic or Attitude

Alright guys, I was recently contacted by the Fraud department of my CC company. Apparently two charges were blocked, one for 1300$ and one for 720$, both were for Dell computers. My CC was also my debit, so the charges were blocked due to my insufficient funds and the fact that the charges were inconsistent with my payment history.

The reason I bring up Chronic and Attitude, and I would never place blame where it didn't belong, is the fact that these are the ONLY two companies I have used online in the last few months to order from other than Amazon. I have used the card at dinner/restaurants but this is the only time such a thing has happened to me before, and it comes at just a few weeks after my orders with these companies.

Sure it could be just a coincidence, but I think the buyers should be made aware. Both places had great shipping and seeds btw, i'm just a little leary now that I had almost 2,000$ worth of fraud on my card.

Proceed with caution guys. And make sure you have some type of fraud prevention with your cards. My next orders will be with a prepaid Visa, which I should have been doing from the beginning.

I'm not saying for certain it was these companies, but be aware.

Where is the best place to get a prepaid visa you can use online? I bought a pre paid visa once, and it was turned down due to the billing address being incorrect. :x

I've got no stance on either vendor or you, original poster. But here's a tip. Find out where those computers were ordered from. i.e., were they for dell.com or some computer reseller? If it's a foreign site that they are ordering from, and you've only ordered internationally for your seeds and nothing else, its a good chance it was from an employee at some company -- OR from a keylogger on your computer or virus. Investigate and find the source and you'll be MUCH better off!

BTW -- NetSpend.com for ordering internationally. Get em online, easy to reload at any convienence store. (You cant use the WalMart one since Walmarts debit cards are for USA transactions ONLY -- found that out the hard way once!)

Yea, they (attitude and Dr chronic) hijacked your CC info and were just waiting for the right time to put the hit on your card. Lots people talking about Nirvana also hijacking CCs. Many, many seed buyers having the same problems with these banks. Thanks for warning others. I got juked too. I hope people are reading about this shit and applying it toward their seed buying decisions.

I complained in another thread in this seedbank area. After responses from longtime members I decided that I will only buy from UK or Canada based seedbanks as the Netherlands in general is will known for theft rings, scams and tolerance to crime (it has by far the highest rate of robbery in all of Europe). Plus, if any mail is going to get diverted for contraband Netherlands would be the most likely for sure. Between these two things you currently have a low probably of getting seeds from there!
