Possible Mold Inside Bud, Could Lose Everything

Here is the problem. I thought I might have smelled a hint of mold in the buds, so I used my radioshack mag and spread open a few buds. Aside from seeing the trich's, I noticed what looks like sharp hairs. The color of them are very similar to trich's...meaning they look almost clear or what, however their tips are very sharp/pointed. To me it looks like it could be mold.

When I first harvested, I had to put down 2 plants and the others had some bud rot in the middle of the top buds. The rot was bad enough for me to be able to see it...it had that white/brown fuzzy look and stink. So I knew for sure it was mold...however, with the issue I have now, it's hard to tell for sure and I dont know what to do. The mold might be at the beginning stage, I just dont know.

Please, Is there anything I can do to fix it/save it, I dont want to lose everything. Right now they are curing in glass jars.

If you suspect mold then get them out of the jars. Let them air dry in a cardboard box for a few more days and keep a check on them..

Those fookin caterpillars really piss me off, have been picking 6-10 out a day, outdoor grow 14 foot plant I need to use bloody ladders

I had them drying in the attic for 2/3 days and when the bud felt crispy with the stem almost snapping...I put into jars. When you mention taking them out and re-hanging them, I dont understand how the mold would go away?

Does anyone know if the things I described about the sharp hairs being on the bud, if that is normal or not?

Sorry but no...thats part of the problem. It looks just fine...however when you look at it with the radioshack mag, is when you can notice the thin hairs.

I mentioned before about losing 2 flowering plants and also having to chop out a good section from each cola because of mold....so I would assume if it effected parts of the bud, it must be on the rest...just not as bad...I just dont know what to do.

I know its hard to give advice on something you cant see...please any idea's on what I could try to do...anything?

arent the thin hairs, pistrals? the reason you may need to re hang is that mold cant grow well in a dry plant

when ive looked at mold with a mocroscope it looks like silvery snail trails

This is my main problem, not knowing if what I see is mold or not. I checked some of the buds again from each jar. I spread apart the bud to get a look deep inside, and just looking at it, without a microscope, it looks very alot of trich's...kinda peach fuzz.

But then when I take the radioshack microscope...I can see lots of tasty trich's and then mixed in with them are these thin, clear to cloudy hairs, that are very sharp/pointed at the tip.

So far, I have taken the buds back out of the jars and spread them all out over a net, that is hanging in the attic. I have a fan blowing on low, across them.

The more days that go by, the more of a chance I will lose these...can some of the pro's please help with a tip or two, on what I can try to kill off this mold...or tell me if what I see is normal, because to me it looks alot like mold.

I tried searching for mold pics on google and came across a website that had a pic of what I was trying to explain and as it turns out...its not mold What I saw is called a 'non-glandular trichome'

PS: Even thu it may not be mold...if it had been mold at this stage of curing, how would you kill it

mold is the white powdery stuff that starts on the leaves. the bristly whiskers you are seeing are the edge of the leaves or the pistrals(SP)

bud rot is gooy and messy and brown and grey.

sound like your buds are fine, dont worry. am not an expert but i thinkl i am right
