I got brown tips with yellow crust on ends of leafs of a young seedling .

Flushed with mild Garlic Powder Plus Water Solution and the bacteria on end of leaves died . Also good to mess with gnat larva ; makes them run to the surface trying to get away from the garlic .

I read that Garlic does not kill bacteria , but kills the biofilm on the outside of the bacteria ; also kills slugs .

Biofiilm good read .

I question I have always wondered about is ; Does Garlic kill Good Bacteria . Today I found out that Garlic does not kill Good Bacteria . In theory this means that Garlic Does not kill Good Bacteria in Compost , but it does kill Anerobic Bacteria .

This is a good read that explains why Garlic kills Bad Bacteria , but does not kill Good Bacteria . Read entire article for complete explanation ,

After reading that the article seems to kill bad bacteria but not good bacteria because how their colonies communicate are different .

I am now curious if a mild garlic power and water solution kills Mycorrhiza , or Good Fungi
It says Mycorrhiza has a symbiotic relationship between fungi and a plant .

Here is another good article .

Can plants take in oxygen in thier leaves and send oxygen down into their roots ; ( My hope is that you can heal a plant that has been flushed can get oxygen from the leaves and send the oxygen to the roots and regrow roots and replace dead roots ) .

I am now experimenting with first flushing a diseased seedling or any plant with a weak diseased root system ; I flush them with mild Garlic Powder and Water . Next you should see the disease on the tips of the leaves die ; meaning the plant is safe from the disease spreading . But flushing the plant ; in my thinking is that it needs nutes . So next I feed with water soluble NPK with a few granules of Amino Acids and a few grains of Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium . I keep adding nutes until the top leaves start reaching up to the sky a little .

At this point my soil is too wet because I just flushed the medium . But the nutes make the plant and root go , getting oxygen from the leaves to keep my roots alive ( respiration ) . The capacity for the leaves to send oxygen to the roots is why a vegatable garden stays alive when it rains for three days . It takes oxygen from the atmosphere and takes it in through the leaves and sends it throughout the plant , including the roots .
