Possible to hook up too many lights up?

I was thinking of stringing together 328 watts of CFLs. 12x23W and 2x26W, is it safe to hook these up in a single circuit, wiring the lights in parallel? I know a decent amount about electrical work, but not enough to have confidence that it will be safe.

What is the upper limit of wattage one can put into a circuit without it frying? Would it be safe to also attach 2 small fans into this system?

oh yah thats fine. one breaker in the average house is 20 amps i think. you should be fine hooking up to 1800 watts to a single circuit breaker providing that the cord that plugs into the wall is large enough gauge. just look at those little space heaters. theyre prob 2000 watts and they plug right in. just do a tidy safe job of the wiring and stay below 1800 and you shouldn't have a prob. seeya

When you buy the wire they should know that. It will prob have info in the wiring section of where you buy it. Also you could just look at an airconditioner cord. Just look at something and copy it. Whatever those 2000 watts space heaters use just copy that. they sell like 50 models of them at any walmart. just those tiny heaters that sit on the floor. Also look at hairdryers. theyre 1800 watts also most of the time. good luck
