Possibly strange question

So, I was just thinking, what would happen if I started a seed outside right now, I know it will probably start flowering right away, and just kept it alive over the winter (it doesn't really ever frost here) and let it re-veg come next year. I'm thinking it could make for a pretty substantial head start on getting it really big for next season, but there could be some reason it wouldn't work that I'm not thinking of. Even if it wouldn't be better than starting seeds fresh next year, it would still be some fun gardening in between seasons, and might make some interesting growth patterns. Any thoughts?

Depends on where you live. I'm in the upper midwest, we have just a few weeks of growing season left and then its too cold. But if you are far enough south you should try an Autoflower, assuming you live in NA.

Yeah depends where you at, I just threw 2 seeds on pit moss a few days back, I got 12/12 all year round, and steady climate (not too cold, not too hot).
