i've never heard of those 2 causing problems,normally rabbit and deer.

Actually raccoons have caused me the most issues! They will dig up newly planted seedlings. I think they smell the human scent and dig up the dirt to see if anything is there. They never eat the plant fyi. Never had an issue with deer eating them either knock wood. Rabbits yes, possums no as we dont have them. Had issues with a beaver once, he didnt like the plant on top of his house 
. Muskrats like to eat them as well . I plant in a swamp so not many rabbits there, although one just eat my plant beside the house lol.
