Post how you dry you herb!

I hang strings fro side to side in the flower room and line dry for a week.
But am conimplating building a drying rack outr of pvc and pvc netting from home depot,i would build a pvc pipe frame inside my jardin dr12o grow tent and run the pvc netting across creating shelfs.I am not sure if i should have the intake / exaust fans on while drying.

i use strings that are strung across and hang the trimmed plants not touching each other. and i have my exhaust on all the time for the first couple of days, a circ fan on low not blowing on the plants, and a dehumidifier on set at 35%. then after a couple of days i slow my exhaust down about 50%.
by day 4 they are ready for a paper bag for about a day maybey 2. then in jars, burped and rotated often for the first couple of weeks then less after that. once they go into the jars, within 1 day or 2 the moisture will even out and if to moist put them back in the paper bag for 1 day then back into the jars.
if they are too moist in the jars they will get moldy. if too dry then they wont cure. most first timer go too dry and end up smoking hay. you need about 10% moisture to get a good cure. where i live i never have to hang more than 5 days. i went longer once and it was too dry to cure and smelled and taste like hay.
when you are in the drying process it will start to smell like hay or grass clippings but after a week or so in the jars the dank smell will start to come back.

i always hang my buds laying them down puts kinda like pressure points on them and they dont dry as even
