Post Office Called

There is no way I'm going to pick it up especially as it is in California and I live thousands of miles away.

Now, what should I do if they decide to mail it to me???

Also, I know the return address is bogus as my friend always uses a fake return address.

The parcel was returned to sender for what reason, I don't know(perhaps intercepted). Since the return address was bogus, they tried to contact you, so they could deliver it(it could be empty). They try very hard, particularly at Christmas time, to get all the parcels delivered. I say call them, see what they have to say. You've committed no crime.
