They want to cut out either Saturday or Tuesday. Less mail to be handled, too costly to deliver 6 days per week.

It's a sign o' the times.....

why dont they do thier routes faster then?

ever notice your mail comes hella early on saturday? they dont have less stops to make on saturday, they just want to get home sooner. proving that the lazy bitches are going slow during the week.

i get my mail 3 1/2 hrs earlier on saturday than the rest of the week.

fucking joke.

its just like the unions...they want to make more money doing the same amount of work so they do it slower. they just call it "safer" so when anyone complains about it they can say they dont care about the workers.

i worked for a union shop for a summer and the first week i was told to slow it down because i was gonna make them look bad. fuck that...hurry it up and make yourself look good!

bring on the union crybabys!

Geeze slick. You must be a fucking teen ager. Unions have built the middle class and have provided good working and living conditions for millions. Without unions, you'd still be working for 25 cents an hour. Grow up and after you've worked at wal-mart or Jack-in-the-box for a while, maybe you'd appreciate a good paying union job. They are not perfect, but they provide a service, like presenting your grievances to your employer without fear of getting terminated for voicing your opinion. Here in Nv., it is a right to work state, meaning, if the employer doesn't like the way you part your hair, he can fire you. Unions protect against discriminatory firings, provide avenues of conversation between employers and employees that would otherwise be denied by the employer. I hope you end up working for a real asshole boss. Then maybe you'd appreciate the union.

My husband is union now, it took most of our lives to get to this point. Now he gets health insurance and I don't have to work a piss poor low paying job to try to maintain health insurance.

It's made our lives better. He's not lazy, he still works at the same speed he always did, he just gets paid more for it.

The reason why unions developed was that during the Progressive Era in the United States, industry was steadily growing. Companies took advantage of the fact that people came here for opportunity and jobs. There were no regulations on the number of hours someone could work in a day, no minimum wage, there was no health benefits, overtime, no child labor laws, or safety laws at work, etc, etc.

my mailman is a bastard... doesn't seem to do enough during the month, let alone one day a week... so yeah, i'm cool if you cut him, but i'm not talkin about his hours ;)

What pisses me off is I use Netflix, that is going to affect my movie rentals. It's a service that I pay for, and they in turn pay the post office to ship. That is going to cost me money. That will be 4 days a month where I won't be getting any movies for sure.

I was wondering about netflix. We use blockbuster. For 25.00 a month, we can rent as many movies as we want. My wife, bless her soul, keeps us supplied with movies, blockbuster is on her way home from work. So how does netflix work? Do you have to pay so much a month for say 1 movie to exchange and say more if you want 2-4 exchange movies, like you could have 2-4 in your possession, so you wouldn't be movieless for a couple a days waiting for the mail. BTW, I love our mail lady, and if they cut one day a week it wouldn't bother me, all we get are bills anyway.

it's like blockbusters site-to-mailbox program but no canadians are allowed. :(

fortunately i'm californian, and we get everything we want :)

every time i call netflix I bitch at them because of all my canadian friends on xbox live that cant use the new "Xbox Netflix Instant Streaming" and still have to pay 400points to see movies that I get to see for free... it's not fair... why not canada? I can understand not having japan, but seriously, is streaming/delivering to canada that hard?

I have the new Xbox360 and don't have a clue how to get on line, anyone out there that can tell me how?

I like Netflix, we pay $16.99 per month and we can have up to 3 movies at home or enroute. There are other packages too. You can watch some on your PC too for free. They are prepaid mail envelopes so you don't have to put stamps on them either.

If you get one that doesn't play right, you report it on the site and they ship a replacement right away, same if they get lost in the mail.

New releases are shipped on Monday so you are watching them the day they come out (if you're are ahead in line and if you have movies back there on Monday)

We only have 1 local video store, $4.00 per Dvd per day.........Netflix rocks.

jack n the box or wallmart eh? no, i hate to break it to you but im a small business owner and my own boss.

unions are just organized crime. you want to work, we want a cut. and if you dont give us a cut we send thugs with signs to stand in front of your projects and cry all day.

btw - thank you for the green lettering, it lets me know when im about to read a joke.

Set up the xbox so you can power it on...

Plug the network cable from the back of the xbox to the wired internet router (the thing you plug into your cable/dsl modem)... the cable looks like a big version of a phone cable ;)

Then power on your xbox... hit the silver button on your controller, and go to "sign in"

you may need to make an account before getting to play online if you don't already have one.

Small business owner eh, well that answers it alright. Oh and are you looking for a bailout or are you going to go belly up, I wonder? You'll get as much sympathy from me as you have for the unions.
