I really need to rotate it, since it's on my balcony it's all growing to one side.
I've been growing this one since it was just a few inches tall. I've been watering it off in on from the waste out of my DWC

the main stalk branched out at some point into like 3 stalks on both plants did the same on my Cherokees too and Brandy wine they all are thick too

Well when I go to home depot I see some tomato cages that are as thick as rebar. I always thought who the heck needs a cage that thick. but when I went outside this morning my 9' tall volunteer had just ripped/bent the 6' cage I built for it and the whole plant was lying on the ground. So propped it up and used so me large bamboo poles to help anchor it better. Only one side branch broke off.

I tried using the common tomato cages to when I first started growing tomatoes but the plants usually ripped them out of the ground, so I switched to staking them up.

What's up with some tomato training techs? This is my first year growing tomatos. Any links or anything would be appreciated in the mean time I'll hit up Google and see what i can find. I spots got some sweet corn, some palco hybrid spinach, giant ceaser lettuce, and burpless beauties cucumbers can't wait for all the fresh veggies

Never done it myself due to space issues but i have a buddy who scrogs his toms. Ive seen him cover 6-7 square feet with one plant.

He also grows 15 foot sativas too so maybe his green thumb is superior to mine.

er...post your tomatoes [Saucy's, and 2x Unknowns] The big one is 3x3 and getting 4-5' already...not including the raised bed....Cages, they are small for one and find that plants regularly don't grow in a circle shape, without heavy pruning...not my style

Beans....Potomac [heirlooms] and Contenders with Russe potatoes...
in the left are also 2x, what are probably going to be either Beefsteaks or Mortage Lifter...single Apex with minimal branching, huge thick trunk.....

i've always used cages, but have been finding them a pita this year... they're all half falling over, and i have them jammed into the ground as far as they'll go.. plus, if you don't catch a branch growing in fast, it'll be hard as poo to move it so it's in the cage and being supported..post your potatoes!
