pot perfume/cologne

confused
i need a new hobby, and have been learning about fragrance making.... looking around at essential oils, and a thought occurred to me.. why not extract (steam distillation) some cannabis essential oil to play with in my fragrances??

its late and im stoned... any thoughts on this??
 
i really like the smell that you get on your hand when mixing/making bubble hash/ sweetest smell in the world. other people must like it too. try it out wear it to the club see whats up.

mee too:hump:.... that is the smell i was thinking of when inspiration hit bongsmilie me... heavy fruity skunk, with a hint of something citrus-y... probably neroli (orange blossom)..... im ready to try this out.... just gotta find the plant matter with that sweet smell to use for the first try....

and there ARE other pot colognes out there... but i dont think they were shooting for the same odor that i am

I think it would be hilarious and pretty damn cool, but I wouldnt wear it. Im usually already smelling like pot and need to get rid of that!
 
dude they sell a cologne that is supposed to smell like it, i would check google... if you ever come up with something let me know $$$

im aware.... i linked to the one Demeter makes.... there is also a "cannabis santal" made by another company... but from reading their descriptions, the smell they were looking for is a bit different than that of mine... im looking more toward a fragrance that is less subtle and more in your nose.... want it to smell like a fruity growroom toward the end of flowering.... :hump:

the main difference i see, is the fact that the mainstream companies use industrial hemp strains to get their oils, whereas i will be using a "drug strain".... im sure i dont have to tell you that good bud smells ALOT better than good hemp

i think it would be a hit among smokers.... i know i love the smell of some strains... blended right, there is the possibility for a beautiful fragrance that is still remarkably and unmistakeably pot... may have to look into the legalities of marketing such a product....

marketing isnt really the issue... its the production... there is no way to legally produce it in america, (at least for the average person) as i would be using drug strains to extract essences... the only option i would have is to make it at home and attemt to sell the formula to another company.... the only issue there is i want to experiment with different strains/odors.... gotta be growing to ensure what i am looking for...

on second thought.... maybe i could pull it off in cali:hug:
 
if you really want to do something like that. get into making soap first then adding oils of mj make lotions also. The best of all is if you can get goat milk to use in th soap. lots of info out there on how to make soap. Try fiascofarms.com immense help
