Potency Techniques?

I am working on my first indoor grow. I remember I read somewhere that pot plants produce thc when they are dehydrated. So basically, my question here is....

Is there anyway I can increase the potency of my plants other than not watering as often?
I'm growing sour d and a mystery seed btw lol.

Tests have shown that marijuana, when left in 72 hours of total just before harvest, some strains showed a thc increase of up to 30%.
Less watering is not really a very good idea. I have had good luck with Sativas, by lowering the humidity towards the end of flowering. Trichomes appear taller. If you're around 50% now, drop it down to more like 35% - 40%, two weeks before harvest. Hope this helps...Good Luck!
