Ok so since I was very much a part of jacking a thread from a poster looking to increase his potency/quality in his garden, I will try and clarify some things that I've stated. As a grower/breeder the very first step in growing for potency for me is genetics. Once I have selected a strain to grow, I then search for a phenotype that displays the most desireable traits. Once I have a strain and phenotype selected I then decide what type of environment I am going to provide for it. Is it going to go in a hydro system? Is it going in containers of coco or maybe an organic soil mix? Is it going in a room with CO2 or is it just a fresh air exchange? Am I going to use organic nutrients or go the synthetic route? Once I have decided which room or environment I am going to grow it in, I make sure I do everything I can to increase the quality and potency of the plants all the way thru harvest. We use a large array of sweetners and carbohydrates on almost all of our grows, and that seems to really help with the overall quality. If you've harvested a crop that looked great all the way up to the cut but once dried weren't all that great often times it can be caused by the lack of a cure which really helps being out different effects and sometimes potency. I try and jar everything up for at least three weeks, and you can definately tell the cured stuff vs the un cured. Hope this helps clear up some of my earlier craziness.
