Potentially getting hired as Head Grower for small legal micro-grow. Need advice/clarification on some stuff.

It's now just another agricultural crop that doesn't require high paid "Experts" to grow successfully. Traversing the business side, design, planning, etc... is more complicated than growing the actual plant.
It requires pretty much the same expertise than growing a greenhouse full of hydroponic tomatoes or cucumbers. You need to know a thing or two to run such a shop.

I don't think home growing knowledge translates very well into such an environment, but it can't hurt. A professional or two are required as well.

Wait, Lion Man is gone??? Is that why this "J232" is stepping in so hard right now? Probably his bully boy.
No, I just never could help pointing out stupid. If you don’t like me, you’re probably equivalent to a potato to me. Like who claims 3 plus pounds with a plant they never seen flower with a light they don’t have... lol, I’m here for the entertainment nowadays.

Thank you for providing..

Too many get hung up on the "Top Shelf" argument failing to realize that most consumers out there don't give a damn and are not going to pay double or triple the price when they don't have to.

There is always going to be those that will pay a premium but most are not. It's like buying vegetables at the grocery store. They usually have a small organic section but most are buying the regular produce because it's half the price
Absolutely, and like you said, places like these forums with some hard core users are echo chambers that are not at all representative of 99+% of the cannabis users.

You might as well go to a hi-fi voodoo forum, and get away with the impression that a headphone that costs less than $1000 is pure garbage and WHY THE FUCK is everybody buying these $20 things, it's so unfair!

Or talk about wines, exotic produce, etc. Most people just want to get drunk after a long work day, they buy a $4 wine and don't pay $20.

Cannabis is not at all different. What most people don't realize is they could put a fem autoflower on their window sill in summer and harvest maybe 30g of dank weed that would last them the rest of the year. If that was more obvious to the average consumer, ever fewer people would visit the dispensaries (or the black market).

I could have just purchased a micro with the 150 plant license. It wasn’t open 6 months before it shut down. Funny thing is he thought rdwc was the way to go as well. Don’t reinvent the wheel, 1 out of 100 growers could consistently hit on a current culture at that scale every run. Would it be bad ass when it happened yeah, but too many variable. You need trees in bit pots of coco , on tables if you have the height. The more sq ft you have the less plants per table. Divide into several rooms, this increases build out cost but if you lose a crop for failing testing or whatever you have another one coming soon.

I could run the grow side of a micro and produce fire flower that’s better than most on market here, but a micro license at least here in Mi is not worth it unless your the only shop around. You don’t have the selection of other stores. Go in any store around they got walls full of concentrates and edibles with tons of choices. 30+ strain choices.

You need at least 30 people a day to come in and buy an 1/8 th to be anywhere near profitable and that was without thinking of repaying investors as I was gonna do it alone. I just don’t see that happening every day when there are stores all over the place and if there aren’t and your town is open to licenses they will be coming.

There will always be a market for non taxed cannabis. There will always be a market for high quality cannabis. If your around a dispo enough. You’ll see weed snobs are everywhere and willing to pay top dollar. Just to say it’s bomb because it’s 70 an 8ter. Or says cookies on it. Mostly the 21-30 year olds. Will spend the last penny in their pocket on a fucking infused preroll. Because it’s stamped with 50%. Black market will climb back up eventually due to taxes. But as long as black market dispos keep popping up. The competition will never set a ceiling price. The word. “No tax”.rolls people in. Well I’m not speaking for anyone other than Cali as far as black market goes.
