I live right by a small woods but all of the foxes and deers died out in it from overpopulation.. The boonies by my house are deer - ridden though. Driving through there at night you'll come across at least 15 deer on the side on the road. The most I see in my backyard is squirrels and groundhogs.. You're fortunate to have an opportunity to observe animals up close like that.
