potting soil question

can i start seeds in potting soil?? i have radish green pepper onion cilantro

yea dude you can but not recommended, the soil by itself is bad for drainage and the roots getting oxygen that's why most growers add Perlite. If you want to make your own soil mixture, you can use this recipe: Mix two parts moss with one part sand and one part perlite or sponge rock to each four gallons of soil. hope this helps but to awnser your question again yes you can start seeds in potting soil.

Start tomatoes in soiless mix then transplant to a mix such as the one described above
