Powdery Mildew Problem

I recently took some new clones that i want to grow into mothers but they have some signs of powdery mildew. I want to start putting them under more watts in my healthy grow room but i'm worried they will infect my other plants. They won't grow much under the light i have them under now and they need more light soon. Is it worth riskin my flower room with PM to establish my new mothers? any ideas would help, thanks

Why do you want to start mothers with PM, it's systemic and that means the clones you take off it are most likely gonna have PM later in flower...right?

Yeah im thinking the same but this strain is a great yielder and it's hard for me to get good clones where i am located. so im thinking it might be worth it to try and save the mothers for my next run?

should i try and cure the PM out of my main grow room first or just put them under the main wattage and hopefully it doesnt spread?
dont try. do it. get a container and put sum milk anything but whole milk cause that will smell. and put like a quarter milk and the rest water. get a soft spounge and wipe the leaves down on each plant. i have done this with 36 plants before. it really works

lol ok cool thanks, so just milk/water let them cure then enter them into the main room.

thanks for the help, ill try this :)

One more thing, wouldnt spraying them work better than a sponge because you can cover the whole plant/soil?

just go about as planed. put them where ever you need them. your flower room your veg room. just wipe them down with milk and water tell you dont see the mold anymore. it might come back but just do it agian. and eventually it will be gone

So wipe you plants down with milk and water once a week for an undetermined amount of time? I've heard the milk thing, and I believe it slows PM down, but what about the spores on the walls, carpet/floor, in the soil, on the rim of the pot, ceiling, fan blades, etc....those things are everywhere.I think if you ever really wanna be rid of PM you gotta disassemble your grow area, spray everything down with bleach water twice, and maintain a very clean atmosphere. If Mr. SS has had good luck with the milk, thats cool, I haven't tried it...But my buddy on here was trying it, he eventually broke down and bought some GreenCure because it kept coming back. I wish you the best of luck, cause PM can be a little annoying.

from my expierence spraying just makes a mess. you want to wipe all the mold off where ever its at so that you cant see it on the plant. you can spray it. alot of people say they spray it but that didnt work for me. just any spounge thats clean that wont rip the leaves. it takes a while but it work really gud.

thanks for the help and the PM is really minor right now i just dont want it spreading/getting worst so i'm thinking i can cure it and keep this strain hopefully. My main flower room is looking perfect this run with no signs of mites/PM so i really dont want to infect them right now. Also ive heard from couple of my buddies they use Neem Oil and that works pretty well if you stay up on it, you think milk/water is more effective than Neem?

I think Neem is a good preventative for a lot of things, but not really the most effective treatment. Some people swear by the stuff, though...I tried it for PM once, didn't phase the stuff...
