Powdery Mildew - should I chop early?

Got these two clones when I thought I had killed my seedlings. The seedlings ended up living, and now they're thriving. Both seedlings and clones are around five weeks in flower, but I've been battling powdery mildew with these clones right from the start. I took them out of my tent because I want to keep them away from the healthy ones, so now they're in a closet with little to no ventilation. Obviously it's just getting worse.

I've tried spraying with milk and water (didn't work), and baking soda and water (just did it last night, but I doubt it will work). I have no other place to put them, and I don't want them near the good ones. I've removed a lot of leaves and I'm thinking it might be smart to just chop them before it gets to the buds. I figure they're 3-4 weeks from a proper harvest time, but I'd rather smoke premature bud than moldy bud. My other ones are at exactly the same stage in flower, but none of them have any signs of PM and seem pretty healthy. So I'll probably have some good smoke in a few weeks anyway.

So what would you do - chop or let them live?

Buy some physan-20 and use it at the rate of 7ml/gal. This stuff has very little persistence but it will nail the PM. Use it often.

That's right. It doesn't turn the hairs red like milk or potassium bicarbonate will.

Again, as soon as it dries it's done. No residual. DON'T breathe it, use a mask.

Anything that wets PM will knock it down. I use Safer Insecticidal soap as a spreader and it helps a lot.

I DID have issues with Azamax making my bud taste weird, so I wouldn't recommend it past the first week or two of bloom.

i sprayed a few plants for thrips and they had a lil pm, it kept the pm at bay for about a week. i went back to baking soda as its cheaper and basically same effectiveness. like ttystikk said i didnt spray azamax past the stretch. i was speaking of baking soda leaving no flav

This is what I used, worked very well on a plant with super bad PM

1 gallon of water
1 tablespoon of baking soda
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid

Mix the ingredients together and add them to a spray bottle.

Spray your plants weekly, preferably on overcast days (or just before lights out) to prevent it from burning the foliage.

Vegi oil? I can't imagine that not leaving a taste, what for?

Preventative maintenance through the entire grow keeps PM away. I use Azamax and protekt to fight potential PM you can't stop it if your grow environment is not dialed in, the spores are in the air waiting to make a home on our plants but if you make the home undesirable they will not settle. Foiler you plants with something weekly until week 3 of flower and I'm sure you won't have problems with PM.

Yeah, I'll definitely be taking more precautions next time. And this will be the last time I ever get a clone from someone else's garden. My tent is pretty dialed in as far as temperature and humidity, but those clones were trouble right from the start.

Sometimes you might need to get a clone from someone especially a strain you might be looking for but when you do just quarantine it from your healthy plants ,every time I get a clone I drench the entire plant in azamax and keep it away from the garden for a few days to observe if anything starts appearing.
