powdery mildew

just wondering if anyone has a tried tested home remedy for powdery midew as i have it on one leaf blade or just remove leaf dont no if it would move to other leafs first time having PM

I would remove that leaf right away and start a treatment plan.

its easily fixable if caught in early stage just take a damp cloth and gently wipe it off wouldn't say you have to remove the whole leaf but thats up to you. Also check your temp/humidity levels and air flow circulation

What kind of treatment and pulled leaf off was pretty windy hope it didn't pass to my other girls think I will quarantine her if thats a good idea

Leaf is off and mygirls r out doors in5 gallon pots open field

lemon juice. one part lemon not concentrate. three parts water. pump sprayer check the ph adjust if need be. In your situation thats what i would try.

Eagle 20.
Pm is everywhere and systemic.
so is eagle 20 so IF YOU CHOOSE to investigate and use it dont overuse or abuse it.
it works

The problem with pm is that it finds its wsy into the plant where it remains until the conditions are right and it exploded.
Baking soda n most other remedies simply supress the symptoms.
i prefer to kill it early on in veg.
then you can look at preventatived like ceranade. (Sp)

This persons plant is in a an open field whats it going to contaminate? And why kill it?

Neem is a huge pain if you have more than sa few good size plants.

instead of supressing it and hoping for the best

I use Actinovate, a bacteria of the streptomyces family that eats PM. I believe Serenade is a similar product but haven't used it. I had two spots of PM just like yours last year and by removing the leaf and starting Actinovate spraying for the rest of the season, it never reappeared.
