powdery stuff in my res

ive been on this site for months and have never had to ask a question yet cause you guys are so good.. but i cant seem to find anything on this

im using gh flora series nutes in a small 5 gallon res in a drip system. when i mix my nutes, micro first, i find like a brown powder that settles to the bottom of my res . i think i read some where that might be caused from nutrient lock out. the way i mix my nutes is i put all the nutes i need for the 5 gallons into a one gallon bottle , shaking it up with each type of nutrient. with my set up its much easier for my to mix them this way. could that cause the nutrient lock out, or is this brown build up normal for gh.

any help would be great, and if it has been covered i link would be awesome too

No worries, it's a gh thing. Its much easier to mix all ur shit in a 5 gallon pail and either dip it out or put a petcock on the bottom of the 5 gal bucket and fill your 1 gallon bottle from this.

its a GH thing but if you dont want the buildup you could add a second pump to move the water but almost every res gets it.

Huh, never heard of that powdery stuff with GH before, but that's good to know. Haven't had that problem with AN, but I know everything is different.
