We are using fox farm, in veg on week four. The ppm should be between 1470-1610. The Hanna meter says about 1000 ppm, and the other number which does not say tds or ec is about 2200. Which number correctly reflects the ppm that we should be looking at? Thank you guys so much for helping, really appreciate it! Don't mind doing the research on here or anywhere, but this shit is confusing!

Its very rare that the ppm it says it should be on the schedule after adding all your nutes is actually the ppm it actually is. but with out knowing the exact meter or any other info I don't see how I can help anymore than my last post.

Sorry doesn't make sense, correction for 1st sent.:
The ppm it says it should be on the schedule when adding the amount of nutes they say and the ppm it actually is is rarely the same. The schedule may also be going by one of the other brands of meters(in first chart earlier) that use bigger conversion factors when converting from EC to PPM. So where a hanna meter may read 1000 ppm, a different brand meter that uses a higher conversion factor could read 1400 ppm.

Your manual states:
Select either EC or TDS mode with the SET/HOLD button. The measurements should be taken when the stability symbol on the top left of the LCD disappears. The EC (or TDS) value automatically compensated for temperature is shown on the primary LCD while the secondary LCD shows the temperature of the sample.
-------
And your manual states that the EC is measured in microS/cm so that is what the 2200 is and your 1000 is the ppm

p.s. I seen you posted the model number earlier in the thread, didn't see it lol, sorry.

Just so this is totally idiot proof then, the ppm is the ppm on this model and I don't need to convert it and can add more nutrients to get it up to the recommended number on the fox farm chart?!

Your EC is already at 2.2, pretty hot. The Fox Farm schedule is at .7 conversion. Your nutes are at 1540 with that Hanna reading (being a .5 conversion). You can change the conversion on the meter if you want. Just look through your manual it will tell you how.

Perfect! That's what I thought everything was saying with the conversion factor! The girls seem pretty happy! Thank you so much!
