Practicing on Hemp?

This is just a random thought I had, but I was curious as to what people thought about the idea of practicing on hemp? I haven't really read up on growing hemp so I'm not sure if it's at all similar to growing marijuana, but since Hemp seeds are super cheap and a it is a very similar plant I thought it might be a good tester. Any thoughts?

They are breed for 2 very different things, I would start with some bagseed.

Hemp is just as illegal as MJ, and bagseed is free. I don't see any benefit.

If you're going to have a fun little felony growing in your closet, and it's going to take months of love and affection, would you rather grow the one that's going to get you high or the one that will help you weave a rope? Besides, why practice on something that's similar but not quite. It's like practicing Cricket for years and hoping to make it into Major League Baseball
