Should I start a praying mantis hatching container for my september harvest? I was thinking of raising the baby praying mantis till they’re older and once my plants are in flower and the bugs are outside, I would release them onto the plants? I’ve had to deal with caterpillars and feel like the praying mantis will eat them. What do you guys think??

Do it ! I saw someone recommend a screen around the plants. this would keep the mantis in and the new worms out. Would just need to make sure there is enough food for your mantises.
It may not eradicate the worms but it will be cool as fuck to have some mantises in the garden

I released some on a houseplant, but they didn't last long. I wasn't taking care of them though. It's super dry in my house, so I'm sure that didn't help. They probably would have stayed around if I kept the plant moist, but I'm too lazy. I actually still have another egg case in my mini fridge.
