I am going into a new season and I have prepared a round of the super soil (its cooked for about 3 months now) I have everything ready to start but here is the reason for the post.
I have always been a fert feeder, organic soluable (canna) and non-organic soluable (foxfarms, canna, BC boost, ect) and I have been moderatly succesful but its medicine. Growing without feeding mas me worryed.

basic info:
clone
2.5 gallon pots
1-2wk veg
7wk flower
environment is on lockdown (any temp humid I want)
so here are the questions:
1.) whats the feeling about running a whole grow (1-2week veg & 7 week flower) with these buckets and not feeding?

2.) if people use amendments or add things during their grows what? and how do you know when?

3.) I have fallen under the marketing voodoo and don't understand/believe about not ading some majic during flower (boosters, gravity and the such) anyone else have thoughts?

4.) I have a PH meter and your basic measuring devices any meters or dodads I don't know about?

just looking for a little feedback in the super soil without feeding regiment.

thanks for anyhelp guys!

you just use PH water, all the nutes is in the soil....you need no additives unless you really want them...the layered soil is what makes it work so good....thats the most important part....No worries man.

If your soil is prepared correctly then you should have no problem raising them up in those pots. I make my own soil also and only have to water and use the same size.

I am still going with a booster during flower only because I believe that nature is just a baseline to work off of and can be improved upon.

Just watch for any kind of deficiencies your plant may develop and correct if needed and you'll be fine. Good luck with your grow!

Personally I'm starting to feel that boosters don't do anything. I think cannabis is a plant that cannot take a lot of nutes to begin with, unless they get to tree size. Most of my plants seem to only be able to take 5 tsp /gal of CNS17 Bloom which is a 2-2-3 bloom food. I tried adding 1 tsp/ ginormous which is an 18/16 pk booster and got early hair browning. (The recommended dosage was 1-3 tsp so imagine what would have happened if I followed the instruction).

From studies I've seen and personal experience, cannabis uses a ratio close to 3-1-2 or 3-2-3 and these amounts don't change in flower, they only slightly increase. So that's why people get yellowing when they switch to so called "bloom foods," because cannabis actually uses a bit more nitrogen in flowering than in veg.

See I don't know with a complete organic regiment, but with the soluable fertilizers I have seen big beinifts from both canna boost and hombolt gravity but I say that knowing that its a new environment with built in nutrients and the same truths may not hold..
