Pre-flower male or female signs before flowering

Hello, I have been reading the indoor growing bible and it was talking about after 6-8 weeks of veg growth, that the plants actually pre-flower and show male or female signs before you force them to flower and show there male or female parts. Does anybody know if this is true. It would be easier for me to clone them if I could tell which was female and which was male before I forced them to flower to find out what sex they are and then have to switch the lights back to 24 hrs to go back to veg stage. Thanks:joint:

Take a clone from each plant and once it roots put it into 12/12 light cycle. You should know what sex they are within 2 weeks.

Cool Man .How long do the plants need to be in the veg stage before I can take a clone to see?

ofcourse that is true......dont take any clones tho that a bad idea if u ask me.....by the time the clones are rooted and then showing sex the plants will already be preflowering anyway.....it takes about 2 months and you will notice by the base of each small branch a small ball forming it will either form into a single piece and will protrude hairs in a couple days or it will be many small pieces of plant folding over a little ball obviously the hair is the female......dont worry when they are ready to bud you will know which is which it sounds confusing but after 1 time of doing this it will forever be easy to tell
