I have two feminized master kush females outside in 5 gal smartpots and they are beginning to pre-flower (got that one pod with two hairs coming out in a lot of the nodes) but no clusters of hairs yet....

So what do i do now? The flowering time is 8 weeks, do i start counting now? Also do i start my flower nutes now? (Fox Farm Tiger Bloom) if not do i continue the veg nutes (FF Grow Big) or start flushing?

Thanks guys +rep for any help, first real grow

why would you want to count?? just let em finish when they are ready. no point in waiting around on the 8th week and then the plants aren't ready till 10. if you must keep count the first week of flowerin personally for me is when the tops have clusters of pistils

I wasnt going to pick em right at 8 weeks but i like to know when to start looking for signs of being ready lol ive read a lil about harvest time and kinda know what to look for but knowing the weeks would help

Thanks for the info about flowering though... no clusters yet but definitely have preflowers with two hairs each lil pod....would you continue veg nutes at this time?

No sir! Now that your plant is flowering, you want to give it bloom phase nutrients.

Pre flowers dont always mean full flowering, especially in outdoor grows. I would wait on the bloom nutes until you are 100% its going into flower.

Gotta love all the different opinions lol
Its definitely not in full flower yet...there are only a few nodes with the small preflower and no clusters of hairs yet, just the small pod and two thin little white hairs eacj pod...im probably gonna do one or two more veg cycles, flush, theN start the tiger bloom when i see clusters...i heard outside preflower can last longer too

I don't consider a plant flowering until it's really noticeable. You can't put a time on when you think your plants going to be done. Sometimes it could take longer than the breeder specified because of certain elements. If your going to use Tiger Bloom for flowering use it with Big Bloom also. I had good results in the past. I actually used those two together to get those buds in my Avatar pic.

Here is a link for the feeding schedule with FoxFarm Plant Nutrients (when it says 12 hours light on the chart that means when it starts flowering), Good Luck; http://www.420genetics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3374

Haha thanks man i worked hard on em! The one on the left had some trauma about a month ago due to my dog falling on them lol it recovered but not without some losses....the one on the right is a monster! It kinda slowed since the preflowers but it was growing inches a week...it loved the FF grow big and big bloom!

Okay I will stop giving advise. ;) Although I am just repeating what you OG's have been telling me. ;)

I gotta agree with Kaender. if u feed bloom nutes now you might get h it with N def and suffer.
Be careful agreeing with him too much. ;) He's got some more research to do.
