Pre-Harvest Trick - Semi-flush

if you want stuff that actually works, try flooding the root zone at the very end when ready to chop, leave it flooded(no 02) for a week.
or speed up the process and pour boiling hot water over roots, wait 3 days, then chop.

Care to elaborate?
Plants sitting in stagnant water for a week sounds like a breeding ground for things i dont want near my plants/buds during the last week.
And hot water on roots? How hot and for what? I use hot water to kill living things in soil. What process are yu referring to speeding up?
Just curious :)

Sir KK

Edit: oops yu said BOILING HOT?! Lol sounds crucial >.>

Leaving them submerged if I remember rightly kick starts the fermentation process.

I still stand by my thoughts on flush....next time I got a grow going I will just have one plant out of my grow that I dont fush just feed it nutes up till the last day. Are we all on the same page cuz I run synthetic nures and you got to flush those fuckers organics you can just feed it water and it has its shit which you cant flush it all out not water soluble. So are u all saying you dont even flush synthetic

What brand how hot u running em im hitting 2200ppm sometimes maybe a lil higher I can pound my ladies depending on strain most of the time....I would really love to have more members chime in on their thoughts... ive never heard of any one not flushing their weed and im talking industrial and medical scale that I work on if you dont flush then you can tell idk.... im here in washington and we are a bunch of pot snobs man. I talk with plenty of dispensaries and long time growers 20+ years and all flush

Don't even own a meter, have no idea what my ec or ppm are. I go by plant response
and I have never flushed at the end, there so many ways to skin this cat I use the one that speeds everything up :)

Ya no your plants are not performing at their best start phing your water after mixing your nutes you see a difference.... not being in the proper ph range is gonna fuck up your nutrient uptake ability by the roots

You realise roots can uptake in the pH range 4-8.

Obviously there are ideal ranges for nutrient ions to be uptaken some prefer higher. Some prefer lower etc.

I use coco as my medium, as long as my ph test is around 6 I don't adjust it.

I feed with every watering.

I very rarely exceed 1.6EC and that's at the height of flowering.

Usually I'm between 1.2-1.4EC approx 600-700ppm at .5 cal.

I do taper off my NUTES some what in the later stages of flowering.

Usually seeing me drop my EC down to around 0.8/450ppm in the last 2 weeks.

I generally see a little fade to my leaves.

I use a 2part coco specific base nute, Ca, Mg, PK1314 (in minuscule amounts).

I regularly hit 400g from my 400w setup at harvest time with 4 plants with around 6 weeks veg and training.

Forget to say what's up RIDDLE.

Wasn't sure it was DEFINATELY you until you mentioned your old user.

The end of my flush my plants ppm is about 200/300 maybe...how big are your pots? And yes they have a big fluctuation range they can take them up but their is an ideal range....around 6 is good I do 6.3 ...RM3 said he does not ph so im just curious as to what his tap water is... I know from experience that if you are not in the ideal ph range your plants will suffer I grow in a warehouse I see it everyday...I deal with like 10 different strains at my job and each one is different... and you jondamon said u use coco so you are gonna want a lil dif of a ph as it is its a different medium... I use shitty fox farm cut with perlite its good for about a month on nutes then I use their synthetic line up....every grower has their own grow method... also ff nutes run really high in ppm/ec every lineup runs differently

Did not say I don't PH, I said I don't own a meter, I use drops :)
