Pre mixing nutrients

is it ok to make a gallon or so of nutrient water in advance to top off my resovoir when needed, is it ok to sit for 5 days premixed,,, or will this cause problems with the water getting stagnet or something like that?

I would advise against it. The reason being is the breakdown/gassing off of agents in the nutes. Good luck!

I've read that some nutrient combinations can start to turn into particles when combined and left to sit -- that's why they're divided into multi-part systems for storage.

I invested a little time making up a chart for 1 liter/quart (roughly the same thing) batches -- basically a half-teaspoon of most components. I know on any given day I will use at least 1 liter, if not two or three. The chart makes it easy to mix. It probably doesn't take more than a minute longer than pouring from a gallon container.
