It wasn't their best work but it was dam good to see them back. They gained tons of fans in the us since the show went off the air. Bubbles toured with guns n roses because axel was a huge tpb fan. They even have a big following in Europe now.

They turned down an offer from HBO. The reason why? They would have to base the show in a us town not a Nova Scotia town. So they do care about where they come from. Personally I think without the us/euro support they might have given up a long time ago. They all lived off the live performances for a while there. To type cast to do anything else.
 
The reason TPB took off again was because it got added to Netflix US and was a huge success.
The only reason there are new episodes is because of Netflix.

I watched the Live at the North Pole special last night and loved it.
