Preflowers on mother

Hello again,

I have a mother plant under 24 hour light (T5HO and a LED lamp), but today I noticed preflowers on a few of the branches. I have no problem with her showing her ladyparts off, but how is that possible? I want to keep this girl in veg for as long as I can and use her for clones.

Is this a problem? Or is it just something I can ignore? Its only on one or two branches and its only at a few nodes. I just want to make sure I can keep her in veg >.>

Preflowers is a good sign. It just means that you have yourself a mature female cannabis plant. It will not bud.

the clones you take will have them also.

It looks like you got yourself an autoflower . It doesn't need the 12/12 cycle to put it into flowering mode. After a certain time the plant will automatically go into flowering mode. And unfortunately you would not be able to take clones from it.

Nothing you can do at this point. The plant has made up its mind. Just have to run with it and bud it. You have no choice. Your mother plant is now a production plant.

Curious, why haven't you considered that it might be an auto flowering strain. That was my first assumption. What physiological process causes preflower other than an autoflower?

Im hoping that you're right cassinfo, and I will be sure to keep an eye on things to see how they develop. This seed was a femenized Strawberry Cough, so I really hope it didnt get mixed up with an autoflower seed somehow. Time will tell I guess, in the meantime I plan on keeping her in full light!

Why would I consider it to be a AF? He didn't mention anything about AF plants. I've grown both autos and photos. My photos show preflower all the time. From seeds or clones they show preflowers. I'll stick to my answer. It is not an Autoflower plant. Keep us updated.

how old is she. My last pre flower was after a 60day veg.

if its not an auto. Then there's nothing to worrie about. Thats her telling she's a keeper
