Thanks for looking. Attached are beautiful photos of what appears to be preflowers. I have learned from extensive research that this may be secondary growth, However these have been there for 3 weeks and have not grown like i would expect a new branch to develop. If you could or are sure, please give me some insight.

Cheers

I have had on 12/12 for a week. Im trying to learn Small Plant Growth. These New Growths have been there for 2-3 weeks. I would expect a Secondary branch to Grow Much Quicker, unless they are infact preflowers Which i can understand much slower growth on those as thay are Flowers.

I am positive. It looks like it is going to be a female, but it is still too early to tell. You should start to see two little white hairs (pistils) grow out of the tear drop shaped preflower in the next couple of weeks if it is female. They will begin to round out more if they are male. Here is two pictures for you to compare as your plant grows. Be patient :)View attachment 2085946fem pre.jpg

If it was a secondary branch you would have INCHES more of growth showing by 3 weeks if not more.

These are on the top 4 nodes. My plant is about 8 weeks and only 10 nodes, but very compact.

well, getnice i must commend you for your research, because what you have displayed there is actually just branching or secondary growth. the ONLY way to know if your plant is a 'flowering female' is the presence of pistils (little white hairs).

that's just secondary growth. I see nothing indicating sex yet. My guess would be low light levels are keeping them from growing out but the strain also plays a big part on how branchy it is.

one node has 2 leaves coming out. but it does look to be a female i see pistils on the bottom node in the pic on the left its a little white hair with the soil behind it. they do have single leaf nodes on some plants and when she starts to flower you will see since leaf nodes appearing.

i hate when i read a thread and 20 ppl commented but not one person laid it out like it is.....ok dude that plant is wayyyy too small for 12/12 first of all and no there arent preflowers yet they will be easy to see and grow in between the branches you kinda have and the main stalks...the reason your plant is not growing is a combo of - needs to be replanted and should be replanted deep bury about 2 inches of that stem...needs nutes a plant that small should not be able to yellow yet you have seriously neglected the basics...good soil big enough pot good light good water makes big plant....yes you should have long branches after three weeks but in those conditions your branches wont grow and that whole plant will yield no more than a quarter....have questions want tips pm me

my bad it isnt yellowing....but it is a light green due to your light being too far away and it wouldnt hurt to add one more

We answered the question, we didn't write him an essay on every aspect of cultivation... If he needed more tips, he couldve asked more questions... After laying things out a zillion times, sometimes one wishes to just address the question in a simple, yet direct fashion... And then sometimes, I'll swoop in like Superman, and lay out a foot long write up on the inz and outz... I hate it when people bitch so much...
