Preparing for my first grow in over 10 years!!

So years ago I was a RIU member, and once I had my first daughter I gave up on the growing side of things. Oh man, how I missed growing. For years while sitting stagnant I most definitely continued always on the search for some of the best pheno's that other private growers grew and bred to smoke. Smoking would always be a part of my daily life and to me there's Top Shelf and then there's Exotics. I typically only smoke exotics. I know... im kind of a snob lol. Anyways, I have been considering getting back into the grow game for the past 2-3 months. My setup is of no real issue, like I said I've done this for years in the past. I no longer want to grow photoperiod plants... i am more interested in auto's. So below I've dropped a list of auto stains that I'm considering.

If anyone has had experience on any of these strains, good or bad, please come in on the convo. Thanks and its nice to meet everyone again in this community.

I don't have any info, suggestions or advice but I'm an old outdoor photo grower messing with indoor autos for the first time so I'll be following this thread.

Thanks bud... i just placed an order for the Tropicana Cookies from PEV Seeds and Fruit Cake from Seed Stockers... thats just to get me going and as long as they arrive then I will order the rest. But these two strains really interested me. Ive tried regular Sour Tropicana which was amazing. And Animal Cookies and Pebbles OG are two strains not seen at all where I live in the US

I grew this one. It was super pretty. But didnt taste good and was not potent. I have grown quite a few purple autos and none of them were any good. Ones like smoothie from fast buds were ok but they just had purple sugar leaves, the inside was all lime green. Anything with actual purple bud....no good.

Wow she is beautiful but I agree... i love how purple strains look but they never have high thc %. Auto or photoperiod... i feel purple strains are more of a novelty, a head turner... however im not interested in growing to make wealth from my grows. Its all self consumption. I will most likely remove this one from my strain list! Thanks for the info @JoeBlow5823

It didnt taste good either.... there was really nothing good about it. It would probably sell great because of that "bag appeal" but I couldnt care less about that.

Sure looks beautiful, but also very small. Did they advertise that as some mini auto or is the breeder just bad? Or did you fuck it up somehow? Those leafs dont look very healthy

That one probably comes down to bad genetics for the most part. Out of 11 plants she was definitely one of the smallest. The green strains all came out WAY better. The dead leaves are mostly just the fade of letting a plant properly mature before harvest.

Like this one.... most people would have had it hanging up a week before I took this picture. I waited a good week or two after this picture to chop. I probably could have fed more N to keep it greener longer but I dont think that would have made any difference in the final quality.
