So i have decided that i will be using the native soil where i will be planting the seeds because i don't want to spend a fortune on soil. Is there anything i can add to the soil to make it better for the plants? The soil is really moist and (from what i can tell) is thin and not too chunky. Any expert advice would help ALOT.

depends on your budget and ability to get supplies to your plot. i like coco bricks because there light, fairly inexpensive and easy to transport in on foot. if you can drive close to your plot or dont have really far to haul you could do a mix of 1/3 peat moss 1/3 compost or manure 1/3 good topsoil all mixed together and just fill the holes you dig. pro-mix is always a good option as well.

You can add lots of stuff, I'm not going to make a list or anything there's lots out there... But I do highly recomend even mixing it 50/50 with some promix and simple things like peat coco perlite exxt just do some research, remember the more you put in the more you will get out.. Happy growing!!

If the soil stays moist all the time and never fully drys then your gonna need some perlite for sure and I would build raised beds also. Just bring in a pallet build a good mound on it after you've added all of your amendments added and the girls should love it.

How do I know what kind to get and using it without burning up plants?? I tried alittle mushroom compost on a plant last year and it nearly cooked it. It stressed the heck out of it but she never hermed and was very good Medicine. I would love to know what to use and how to mix it for my Plants. I have been told that is true Organics and I am all for that! Thanks for the ideas.

dig a hole 2 feet down and see if it fills with water. if it does you need to make a raised bed. this can be down wqith almost anything somtime just a mound of dirt is all that needed. also i would add perlit sand gravel something to native soil under the mound or raised bed.
