Problem Identification

Hey all, I'm wondering if anyone here is able to tell from the following pictures what might be going on with these plants. Thanks for any help. The strain is Purple Train Wreck.

I started with Ocean Forest soil. I added some organic worm castings about 25 days into the grow which I think brought in some gnats. I have pretty much eliminated the gnats, although I still see a couple here and there. Today I added fertilizer again (this is now about 35 days since I added the worm castings). I used a mix from a grow shop here in town, FloraGrow Bloom or something like that.

I was getting this same discoloration on a lot of the large leaves that were from the first half of the veg phase. I clipped many of those leaves because they were deteriorating a lot. That all took place during the veg phase.

Now I'm going into week 2 of flowering. I've taken a picture of many of the leaves that are still on the plants as of right now and show signs of distress. Many are showing a discolored area between the spines on the leaves, accompanied with some shriveling and in a few cases parts of the leaf seem to have just fallen off completely. On one plant there is a new growth leaf that is almost completely yellow, although this seems by my judgement a different problem.

Edit: The yellow leaf I mentioned is the first picture, and I just checked it 30 mins ago, 6 hours approx after adding nuts. The plants are sleeping right now, but the yellow leaf seems to have already turned more greenish.

I would give them a good flush. Ifyour using tap water, you have a build up of salt , Cal., chlorine, ect..... jethead

I gave them a flush tonight right before I took those pictures. 1 gallon each, with some nutrients. I'm using water from the Culligan osmosis filter at Meijer(local 24-hour department store in the midwest). Hopefully it will help!

You need to flush with at least 2 times your grow bag size. Yours look like 5 or 7gal. bags. good luck

I grew purple trainwreck this past summer. they,re a little finickey with the nutes. you might want to up your bloom nutes. Check ppm's and ph.

i know my ph is a little high right now. any advice on getting it down?

If I flush tomorrow (or should I wait a way to let the soil dry from today first?), will it wash away all the nutrients I added today, meaning I will need to add more nutes after?

Get some ph down or lemon juice if you can't find any. No, flush asap. Yes it will wash it away. Have you every smoked purple Twreck. It has a pretty good head action with a litttle body. The only neg. is that it gives you massive cotton mouth.

Yeah I smoked some from the guy who grew me the clones. Tasted pretty good and was listed as a 60/40 Indica, which is the preference of a paraplegic patient of mine, and my pref. too. I'd like to get my hands on some more Romulan...
