Problem with Breathing in Grow Room ? Need Advise.

Hey I hope its alright to post in this category but I'm having a very bad problem in my room thats making me extremely short of breath every time I spend more than 20 min in there. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and could give advice on this type of thing ? Starting to think it could be the house has a severe mold issue but its really that one room tho that effects me. It's at a serious level now and had to have EMS people come late last night to help me start breathing normally again. Its a basic bedroom sized room like 15 x 20 ft and I have 3 tents in there with all my supplies (nutes etc) in the same room. Thanks for your help.

For it to be a mold issue, you would have the breathing problems anywhere and not just get worse by going in a room. Where it's more directly related to the room, might be bad circulation in the room. If you have breathing issues already, going from very dry to a humid environment quickly will have some effect. Have it looked into (the mold issues of course) and fixed. Try process of elimination in the room in question.


Or, your just super excited with growing yur own and hyperventilating.

Thanks for that reply grumpy appreciate it man, I'm going to have an inspector come today i think. Luckily I have a caregiver card and can have those but I'm semi concerned still. On the co2 thats a negative haven't been running any at all but thats a probable cause for sure if I was thanks.

Maybe it could be weird spores from the soil I'm using ?? Man I so wanna solve this I practically cant even go in my room anymore.

The reason why I asked is because I was running Co2 in my room and I would go and smoke with the girls every night and I found myself falling asleep on ocassion and I believe it was the high Co2 levels.

Could be possible you are having an allergic reaction to something in your room, maybe the materials the tents are made of, the plants themselves or??? It could be anything. Try not to spend so much time in there. If for some reason you pass out it could be life threatening. Don't enter the room unless you have somone with you to make sure you get out ok until you find the problem.

Could it be maybe your having an allergic reaction to the plant matter or the soil? Have you ever grown before? Im sure you've smoked before but that doesn't automatically rule alergic reactions out because your smoking a dried out product....hmmm...very strange situation here...

I think your right cause I've had people go in for me when I was outa town and they were fine but I also think I've been exposed to it more who knows. I thank you for ur concern for my health it is serious and will take ur advise for sure.

Its so weird cause I've been doing this for years and never ran into this problem 1 time. I think theres some chemical reaction from the nutes or something emitting from my soil. Super strange and can't wait for it to be checked by a professional u know.

thats kinda interesting hmm co2 is a potential threat I guess w/ the right amount.

i am alergic to the trichs. everytime i trim pot loaded with trichs, i get sick. i can tell right away if its "too much" cause my eyes start waterin just like onions. ...... by the next day my taste buds are gone and i gotta sinus prob.

if its just "good pot" then it wont do that .... it has to be extra loaded with crystals. i am not sure on this but it seems like when the head of the crystal "pops" it releases something in the air that my piece dont like.

so i guess if you had asthma or copd , then it would affect your lungs like it does my sinuses ?

you'll know when your trimmin , if that has anything to do with it. ....... the only other thing i can think of is the humidity ?

Do you have a gas heater or a gas water heater in the room, could be bad venting. The inspector should catch that.

You would think that the co2 is displacing some of the oxygen in the air and if so your brain would be getting less oxygen than it is used to thus probably making you tired. Plus it is the end of a work day and I am burning a killer indica. Grow room is a great place to nap too cuz my wife wont go in there.
