I have put two plants into bloom cycle they have been going for three weeks , what is happening is that the plant seems to be dying back I have cut a bit of and it is hollow inside like a straw ! It is really frustrating as dont know if it is nutrients heat water etc
Im currently under 1000 medium i use is is cococ and scoria balls to wate. two water cycles for two minutes each with about 20% going to waste.
I have been using powdered nutrients has anybody had a problem with this...

If any body can help be great

your main stems will be hollow inside, thats how it transfers water to the top portion of the plant. sounds like your plant is pulling N from your leaves..... i would up the N just a bit, not too much though seeing as how your in flower.
possibly calcium or magnesium if your in coco, it seems to be one of the more common probs with coco. i use coco as well and thats were most of my issue are from.

I also grow in 100% coco. There is no silicon in the coco.

In order to strengthen stems, supplement with 1-2 ml of a product such as Pro-Tekt or Pro-Silicate or Silica Blast. I'm sure there are others.

These products typically contain potassium silicate. So the Pro-Tekt has an n-p-k rating of 0-0-2.8 and the Pro-Sil is 0-0-3, etc. At 1 ml per gallon, you are adding 7 ppm of K.

I usually use until the stems strengthen up a bit. It shouldn't take long, depending on how often you water. Try to do this in veg or early bloom at the latest, but not late bloom for the sake of taste and smell.

edit: Some might find this interesting as well: The role of soluble silicon in controlling some root rot diseases of cucumber and tomato.
