Problem with WW grow :(

Ok so my WW from marijuanaseeds.nl is about 21 days old (from germ.), and it's only about 3-4 inches tall. So, I was wondering...what if I switch to 12/12 until the absolute first signs of sex, then gradually...say day by day, increasing the photoperiod back to 18/6 to induce veg? Here's what I mean: Thur. July 9, plant is 3-4" tall...switch to 12/12 to promote more rapid growth.

Now let's say around July 23 the first signs of sex appear, so on July 24 or 25, increase light to 13/11, July 25 or 26, increase to 14/10, and so on until I get back to 18/6. Does anyone know if this would work, or do you think that the shorter photoperiods would "lock" it into the flowering stage?

No, that will bring out the hermi trait, the proper method is taking a clone and throwing it into 12/12 to see sex, but by the time you got a clone going from that the plant will probably have shown sex under 18/6 anyway.

Your plants probably about to start growing like a weed soon anyway. most start shooting after 3 weeks to the first month.

Do you mean cannabis as a species or WW as a strain? While I'm no nub to tokin' I am a nub at growin...this is my first real grow and I want to harvest as much as possible as soon as possible.

Cannabis as a species in general starts growing at least an inch a day once it hits adolescents.
