Problems overnight

Good evening, everyone!

First off, this is my first time growing. I had a healthy plant up until this morning. The plant is six and a half weeks old.

The plant has been thriving and growing nice branches. I absolutely have no idea what has happened to my plant.

Symptoms: leaves have white spots on them, all leaves have been affected (including branches), leaves are crunchy and have black tips like it's rotting.

Any idea what happened?

Need more info. Soil, nutes, etc...

If I had to guess I'd say check your ph, or you have some root issues.

Thanks for replying!

The soil is MG and the nutes are Alaska fish fertilizer and alaska morbloom.

It was absolutely thriving all this time, so I don't know what I did wrong.

What would cause root issues?

Hey Bugeye, I know. :( I'm devastated.

It is organic. When I water it, the water drains out the bottom, but I notice that it retains a lot of water. Could that be the issue?

Possibly, pull her out of the pot and see what the roots are doing and if they are slimy or smell foul.

The roots did not smell and were white. Seemed fine to me. However, all the soil broke in a bunch of small pieces (don't know if that's normal?) and was really damp/wet.

I put new soil in (same brand). Can pests cause problems like this?

White is good, no smell is good. Just to ease your concerns you will probably be ok and make it out of this when he can get back to ya.

Different nutrients can be absorbed better at different ph ranges. Can make it hard to supply the right amount of nutrients.

Looks like the usual kind of nute burn crap that users of toxic soils like MG get all the time.

Do some reading in the grow forums to get some good info about soils/soilless media and maybe transplant that one before it's too late or be ready for a better grow next time around.

Good luck.

I really appreciate everyone who responded from the bottom of my heart.

Good news- it is still growing and the new leaves don't seem to be affected.

For my next grow, I was thinking of going with Black Gold or Roots Organic soil. Then maybe when the plant reaches a foot, adding foxfarm ocean forest (as I already have a huge bag of ffof).

Glad to hear that it’s still growing and the new leaves are good. If you’re using nutes you might wanna just flush with plain water for a little while. You can also pull some of the affected leaves of that aren’t important and it will make the plant focus on the new and healthy growth. Good luck

Thank you, yo_Dylfo for that excellent piece of advice! I will follow through with what you said.
If you do go through with picking the leaves off just make sure only the worse ones because there’s still a chance the others will regenerate but by removing some of the sick ones it will help feeding the other parts of the plant that need it
