Problems with Blachwatwer from Cali Connection?

I have a 4 foot Blackwater in a 100 gallon smart pot outdoors and when I was doing some work on it yesterday I noticed what appears to be a nanner where you would normally find the calyx at the branch point. I am going to take a clone and flower it out to see but has anyone had any problems with this strain?

I was going to do a whole grow with Black Water last year. Before I grow a strain I look up the Pro's and con's and list them on line paper. I ended up not doing it because the Con's outweighed the Pro's by a lot.

I spent $800 at cali conn last x-mas. Now, I am giving away clones and do not plan on taking anymore. I am also going to grow them all out together and let them seed the fuck out of each other and be done with them. I have some TGA gear that I am dying to get to... Someone brought me some vortex ,from my own garden from 3mo ago, and it confirmed that cali conn has nothing that interest me anymore...it is bad when reg seeds go hermi.

Out of the 5 female Blackwaters that I had, 1 was bomb, 3 so so and 1 hermied out bad about week 4 of flower. Good luck but that isn't the only Cali Con to hermie on me when everything else around it was fine so I too am sitting on a bunch of his packs but have no time for them in my garden any longer.

Cali Connection IMHO is Crap. I have been growing for years now and Cali Connection and Dutch Passion is the Two breeders I stay away from. Nothing but shitty genetics and Mutants and He She's.

I have to disagree.

Shitty genetics you say?

Did you know swerve uses the real deal Tahoe? Louie? Sfv? Chem 4, chem91, bubba, sour d?

Well he does. The same above that are considered to be some of the best in the world.

What do they all have in common? Intersex traits... Fact.

What do you get when you breed two plants with genetic potential to hermie? Exactly!

Does this mean his genetics are shit? No, I'm willing to bet you don't have a stable of legends.

Like the saying goes. If you play with fire, you might get burnt.

Potential for hermie? Absolutely!

Potential for a really good plant? You bet!

Yep, run a pack and select the ones that don't herm. Purple Chem (Chem 91 X Bubba reversed) from Cali Connection is some of the best flavor I have come across and it holds on to its flavor after a long time in the jar. The Buddha Tahoe OG fem is a great plant and great nugs. Got 4 Alien OG fems to try next.

I struck out with Chem 91 bx, only got 2 ladies from 9 seedlings, my bad luck!

I said IMHO. I was just putting my opinion out there. I only said that because I have ran CC Headband, Girl Scout Cookie, and Julius Caesar and all went hermi and that was with regular packs but of coarse I got some nice ladies because it was packs of 5 or 10 but more then half the ladies went male. I ran lots of other breeders strains under the same conditions and never got a hermie except for when I ran Dutch Passion strains.

Actually if it is hermie prone then that is one of the definitions of crap genetics.

Your opinion in which you are in tilted too

tahoe, sfv, sour d, chem 4, chem91, king louie all crap?

Ill be sure to never ask for your advice on picking a strain. LOL
Any breeder knowingly using a hermie prone strain is producing crap genetics. You buy a pack of 10 seeds to get a good choice of phenotype, taste, growth, and yield not to get "one that didn't hermie". But good luck :wall:

My friends and I have run quite a few OG clones and never had problems with hermi.
We have never grown SFV og...

Swerve uses SFV OG(hermi prone OG) male...
A few of the breeder's you listed are using males that aren't from hermi prone genes.

Yet none of those companies have a shitty reputation like Cali Connection does, which tells me that Swerve is still fucking up somewhere along the way.
im not defending swerve. Just saying his cuts are real and they are fire

Ive had the sfv for a while, never one ball or banana. Just like the others, that doesn't mean that they won't throw them traits when you breed with them.

Seems my point is being missed. I know some of you guys hate swerve so much you will debate with anything anyone says that's semi positive about cali connection.

Don't grow their gear. But I know for fact ive found better representation of og plants from cc than I did from any other breeders so far.

Also found some of the worst plants I've ever grown from the same packs.

I recently had a ggg plant that threw some balls. Its in in the genetics.

I'm not saying swerve is the shit. Im saying the genetic potential is there to find a bomb ass og.

I was referring to the fact that Swerve is crossing Hermi Prone genetics back to Hermi prone genetics, similar to GGG/Archive.

I am growing Talisman now, so I will have some experience with GGG.
I've only smoked Archive's Grimace OG, but the friend that grew it had no problems with any Archive gear he's grown.

Have you ever grown Archive/Bodhi gear?

Bodhi would add it to the description if a cross is hermi prone.
Similar to what he did with the strain Kindness, announcing the possibility of auto-flower tendency.
