Problems with OG Kush Colas

Hey all I've been growing outdoors for over 10 years and never had any problems like this so I come to ya'll for much needed help.

I have a few OG Kush #18 plants 4 weeks away from harvest. The other day I noticed the buds in the main colas start to turn a really pale green and the hairs turned orange with black tips. Now after a few more days several of the plants main cola buds have started to turn brown on all colas and it lost all it's smell along with it's trichomes. The buds are still moist and green on the inside if I cut one open but the trichomes have turned into a brown dust and no smell is present along with no stickyness at all. All the leaves on the plant look dark green and really healthy except for the small bud leaves which have started to curl upwards on the edges and all of the other buds that's not on the colas are doing perfect.

I'm growing all natural with no ferts in natural soil with PHed rain water and have been doing it this way for years. However this is the first time I have grew OG Kush. I just want to know if anybody else has experienced anything like this and if I could get some advice on wether I should harvest now before all my colas become brown or is this something that can be reversed.

It's almost like the cola was so dense the buds stayed too wet and are now dying. Remember when I first noticed this the buds were starting to turn a really plae green almost yellow and then went from pale green to brown with brown hairs with black tips. The bud is hard to pull off the plant and it's hard not soft and moist so this doesn't look like any kind of mold at all. Could this be a case of over watering? It has rained alot really hardcore this season but I always shake the plants off and keep check on dryness of soil. It seems like the colas are so dense that the buds couldn't breathe so they are losing color and dying. How do you explain why all other buds on the plant are perfect along with all the leaves...even all the huge fan leaves look beautiful.

Thanks in advance for the help! This is time critical as the problem is progressing!

Yeah we had alot of rain sometimes raining for several days before the sun came back out. If it is root rot is there a way to reverse it? I've actually never experienced root rot always had very good luck growing over the years.

Also would root rot cause just the cola buds to rot and not the rest of the buds? Because all other buds not in the cola are thriving.

I actually noticed a little white caterpillar or inch worm on one of the buds today. Removed it and searched for other traces and none was found.

Hey lord reefer,
Did you find out what the problem is? I've got exactly the same thing..
My best guess is it was from alot of overwatering...I took them out of their buckets and let them dry completely and put them back into buckets and they recovered 100%.
